The 8th annual San Luis Obispo Concours is a weekend affair celebrating elegant classic cars, high performance sport cars, hot rods and classic motorcycles. This year, the event’s marques are Cadillac and Volkswagen. The SLO Concours weekend will feature spectacular events including: a Friday night Welcome Reception at a private venue in Edna Valley, a Saturday morning Rally with a tour of the breathtaking Central Coast scenery, and a Saturday night Gala Winemaker's Dinner at the San Luis Obispo Country Club. These events lead up the San Luis Obispo Concours Main Event on Sunday, May 31, at the Madonna Inn Meadows. The Concours Main Event will include multi-class judging and trophy events, car corrals, vehicles of all shapes and sizes for display, people’s choice award, specialty vehicles, travel trailers, a connoisseur tent, vendors and many displays and activities for auto enthusiasts and families. The San Luis Obispo Concours weekend is a benefit for Hospice of San Luis Obispo County (Hospice SLO), a local non-profit organization that provides non-medical in-home respite care and practical assistance to individuals experiencing a life-threatening illness and also offers counseling services to anyone grieving the death of a loved one. All Hospice SLO services are provided at no charge.

Historic Mission San Antonio is holding its annual Fiesta on Sunday June 14th. The Fiesta was originally held in the mid-1800s and the tradition continues today. Come early, at 11:00 AM, for the Catholic Mass in honor of the Mission’s patron saint, St. Anthony de Padua. The Fiesta is from Noon until 4:00 PM. The Fiesta will be a fun-filled day for all! There will be a traditional oak-fired BBQ ($12/meal) with a choice of top sirloin or chicken (includes salad, beans & roll). Homemade desserts, beer, wine soft drinks, and snow cones will be available for purchase. This year the fiesta grounds have been upgraded with new shade covers over the dining area. Visit with local artisans whose wares will be on display. There will be dancing to live music and children will have a great time winning prizes at the game booths. This event is a Mission fundraiser – please no personal coolers permitted. Admission and upper level general mission parking is free. There will also be VIP parking available on the Fiesta grounds for a fee of $10.00 per vehicle. Fiesta ground handicapped parking is free.

The Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce will the June Wake Up Paso breakfast and program. Beginning at 7:30am, the event offers time to network and enjoy breakfast before launching into a fast-paced program of thought-provoking, educational and sometimes controversial topics.

 “The Paso Robles Chamber Wake-up Paso will provide thought-provoking information ripped from the headlines as well as a look to our membership and community for information that impacts your business.  This quarterly series can best be described as 60-Minutes-meets-the-Today-Show-and-TMZ.  Couple this with an opportunity to connect with local businesses, limited seating, and a full breakfast prepared by the talented students and teachers of the Culinary Academy…..Wake-up Paso is certain to be a sold-out event!”  Pam Avila, Economic Development Director, of the Paso Robles Chamber .

Saturday, June 20th, Trading Day, Kids’ Flea Market & Bike Rodeo will bring together collectors, dealers, crafters, and garden-variety pack rats for the “North County’s largest yard sale,” in the downtown city park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a separate area for the children’s flea market. The event draws a large crowd every year. Some spaces are still available for Trading Day, at $55 for an approximately 15’x15’ area. (Kids’ Flea Market spaces are $5 for grades 3rd to 8th). Residents, dealers, and organizations are invited to participate. There will also be a Bike Rodeo sponsored by the REC Foundation starting at 10 am and a bike stunt show at 1 pm
