Resident Wine Educator, Tony Hermann, will be showcasing the Viking Vineyard for a special Father's day seminar. Starting with a Vineyard tour of our acclaimed Viking Vineyard with its elevation reaching 1900 feet and steep rugged slopes and certain to set the tone for the Tasting to follow. Tony will then lead the group through a "Claret' Symposium focusing on the 21 year old estate. A lively discussion and BBQ lunch to follow. Shuttle transportation to the vineyard will be provided. Please prepare for a brief vineyard walk and warm weather in the vineyard followed by sitting in a cooler barrel room

The World's Largest Ranch Rodeo
The 21st Annual Parkfield Rodeo will be held May 24-26, 2013 in the beautiful rural community of Parkfield, California. It has been earmarked as "Earthquake Capital of the World". Cowboys and cowgirls come from all different areas in the West, and will participate in Bronc riding, team roping, team penning, barrel racing and team branding, to name just a few of the events. There will be professional cowboys and cowgirls, ranch cowboys, weekend cowboys and people just wanting to participate in an action packed weekend. Rodeo performances are 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets may be purchased at the gate, they will be sold by the Parkfield 4-H club. The ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 6 to 10. There will be vendors selling various items from jewelry to western art.

The 27th Annual California Festival of Beers event, a fundraiser for Hospice SLO, kicks off Memorial Day weekend with its “Arts and Drafts” Connoisseur Tasting will feature specially selected craft beers. Selected brewers will be featuring some of their very special craft beers that will be expertly paired with food offerings by local restaurants. "Dr." Bill Sysak, Craft Beer Ambassador & Certified Cicerone ® of Stone Brewing Co will make the pairing selections and will be on hand to talk about the art of craft beer.
The evening will also feature the work of visual artists local to the California Central Coast. Spoonfed Lightening will bring their fusion brand of Blues, Soulful-Rick and American music to round out a delicious evening.
Tickets are $50/pp and all proceeds benefit Hospice SLO. Ticket price includes: commemorative event glass, unlimited beer tasting, fresh local cuisine/craft beer pairings, live music.

The 27th Annual California Festival of Beers "Grand Tasting" event will be continuing a Central Coast and California tradition of great beer, food and live music in an exciting new location! The larger sized Madonna Inn Meadows has allowed this favorite beer festival event to grow and enhance entertainment, seating and menus to compliment the 60 plus breweries and more than 100 beers being featured.
For entertainment, the Fat Kids Strongly influenced by The Motown Sound of the 50's and 60's, will play catchy pop tunes with enough soul and passion to kill that "pop edge”. Next, Truth About Seafood a longtime favorite of the Central Coast with a mix of a modern and classic rock sound will take the stage to provide music to get the crowd on their feet.
Tickets are $75/pp and all proceeds benefit Hospice SLO. Ticket price includes: commemorative event glass, unlimited beer tasting, live music, games & prizes, limited featured beers poured at announced times.
Want to enjoy the day without driving? Shuttle buses are available from San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles and Pismo Beach for only $5/pp round trip. A limited number of Desginated Driver tickets are also available for $25/pp.

Twin Cities Community Hospital is proud to announce its next complimentary seminar offered to the public. The Reverse Shoulder Solutions Seminar will be taught by Twin Cities Community Hospital’s Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Birrell Smith on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. The seminar will cover typical issues encountered with reverse rotator cuff injuries and solutions including advances rotator cuff tear and arthritis treatment, massive rotator cuff tears treatment, relieving pain, restoring motion and a question and answer segment.
